The Kappa Nu chapter of Alpha Chi Omega is dedicated the promotion of awareness, education, & prevention of domestic violence. Our main philanthropy is the Alpha Chi Omega foundation, whose mission is to support domestic violence prevention and awareness efforts. Efforts include educational programs, donations to programs that aid victims and their children, and service at shelters all over the country. We also partner with local initiatives such as Pittsburgh Action Against Rape and the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. We host numerous fundraisers on campus such as Alpha Climb Omega and These Hands Donut Hurt. Another priority of our chapter is to inform our sisters and campus about domestic violence issues by hosting informational events. We also volunteer through campus programs like 1000+. Our chapter is dedicated to helping our campus and community and we look forward to finding new ways to make a difference.
